Bordeaux is about 2 hours drive from La Maison Bois, but is well worth a visit.  Even if you don’t like wine, you will find plenty to do here.  If you have the time you should take time to do a driving tour of the vineyards.  They go through some spectacular scenery. If you are enjoying yourself on the wonderful French roads and you like wine, you could combine it with a trip to St. Émilion which is about 2 hours from Montemboeuf and just under and hour from Bordeaux.  A great way to stock up on wine!

Once you are in Bordeaux, you could try one of the many cycle tours of the city and the vineyards as well.
