Another town that is worth visiting for the wine and for the beauty of the town itself is Bergerac.  The town is located on the northern bank of the Dordogne River, in the western part of the Dordogne department. The old town of Bergerac is a particular highlight, it has some beautiful streets and squares to explore and some very lovely buildings.

A handy little guide to the town can be found on the Arrival Guides website.  This guide has handy maps with points of interest and has suggestions for restaurants and cafes.  We have not used the guide ourselves, so an not vouch for the quality of the restaurants, but it certainly looks great!
